Our Wee-Waves summer camp program consisted of a daily 2-hour online education focused lesson component in the morning and in-nature Vancouver experience based field trip in the afternoon. Wee-Waves summer camp teaches basic knowledge and comprehension of the components of nature and encourages respectful relationships with nature through contact, observation, and exploration activities.

Each day covered a different topic: plants, animals, abiotic factors, ecosystems, and sustainability. After learning the basics in the morning lecture, the field trips attempt to build upon this knowledge through hands-on activities. Some of these activities include, but are not limited to: role playing games focused on helping students comprehend the interactions of different components in nature, planting and other related activities that help students develop real skill sets, observational and senses-focused journaling, species identification, and activities to help promote sustainability-based awareness.
