SF30 Youth Research Lab

Join the Sustainable Finance 2030 (SF30) Youth Research Lab Team!

Mission:

As climate change continues to loom and place significant pressure on human civilization and development, the corporate world has integrated financial tools to mitigate this issue. These tools include the carbon market, green bonds, and impact investing. Canada’s big 5 banks -- TD, Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of Montreal, Bank of Nova Scotia, and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce --  have all joined the United Nations Net-Zero Banking Alliance, a global, industry-led initiative to accelerate and support efforts to address climate change. The United Nations has also laid out a blueprint to achieve sustainability, through the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The Sustainable Finance 2030 (SF30) Youth Research Lab is a group of passionate high school students who research on a sustainable finance tool that helps prevent global warming by 2030.

Research:

We will partner with a university professor to guide and mentor this team. The project will commence on March 26th, it wall last for 3 months with a group of high school researchers. The project will be remote, and hence students from all parts of Canada can join. Researchers will not receive any monetary compensation for their work; they will receive a certificate of completion when the project is completed.
