Wee Waves
(Grades 1-3)
Our Wee Waves programming is designed to get students up close and personal with nature and thinking about it in ways they never have done before. Programs are designed to promote exploration, contact, and observation as students take a closer look at the natural world around them. Students will be introduced to topics on plants, animals, abiotic factors, ecosystems and sustainability. Through our programs, students will learn how to responsibly interact with, observe and explore nature’s components.
Programming Rundown
Online lessons
Introducing five pillar topics: plants, animals, abiotic factors, ecosystems and sustainability
Interactive outdoor mini activities
Paired with each lesson to encourage observation and exploration
Outdoor field trips
Including trips such as the Vancouver Aquarium, Pacific Spirit Park and a beach clean up (subject to change)
Final creative mini project
Flexible to the child’s interests and curiosities about the natural world
Focus on creativity, responsibility and respect
Students will practice responsible and respectful ways to connect and interact with nature
